Campo was built around a simple belief: that Los Angeles deserved a tennis club with a real standard. Not a public court. Not a corporate gym with courts. Something that actually felt like a club.
Los Angeles has always had great courts and serious players. What it has never had is a tennis club with a real culture behind it — a place where the coaching is intentional, the people around you are genuinely invested in their game, and showing up twice a week actually means something beyond filling a time slot.
Campo was founded in 2025 to fill that gap. The idea was to build something small, private, and held to a standard that most tennis environments in this city have never bothered with. Sessions are capped, coaching is present in every class, and every member was introduced by someone already inside the club. That last part is not a formality. It is the mechanism that keeps everything else working.
Most tennis in LA is either completely unstructured or locked behind country club fees and waitlists that have nothing to do with how seriously you play. Campo is neither of those things.
Every session is coached, capped at eight players, and designed to move your game forward rather than simply give you court time. The programming spans four formats — Live Ball Group sessions, Match Point play, Skills and Drills, and Private Lessons — each built for a different kind of work, and each held to the same standard. The culture here matters as much as the coaching, and both are protected by the referral process that controls who joins in the first place.
Campo membership is extended by referral from a current member, and the process does not stop there. Every applicant goes through a review, a video call, and an introductory session before they are offered a spot. That process exists because who you practice alongside is inseparable from the quality of the club itself. We are looking for players at a strong intermediate or advanced level who take their game seriously and bring something to the people around them on court.
